Living Healthy While Alive
Living Healthy While Alive!
By Britt Mittemeijer
You bet you want to live a long and healthy life! Everybody does! I do too! Yet, the world seems to be full of elderly people, and often not so elderly, who over-populate nursing facilities, are in and out of the hospital, complain about how bad they feel, or bear their infirmity silently and live out their lives in more or less misery.
It doesn’t have to be that way!
Fortunately there are those who enjoy good health into a ripe old age, and that’s where you want to be. If you are blessed with good genes, be grateful and don’t take it for granted that they will see you through. Nurture them with all the health-giving elements you hear about from experts: exercise regularly, eat healthy foods, don’t smoke, if you must drink alcohol responsibly, take nutritional supplements, get sufficient rest, etc.….. all that is good advice that will, without a doubt, strongly increase your odds to enjoy good health and live abundantly.
Health experts tell us that the sooner we start honoring and taking care of our health, the more our chances increase for a life of good health and wellness. Alternative health practitioners recommend thoughtful nutritional supplementation. When you supplement your diet with health-enhancing nutrients prepared in a responsible manner from natural sources, you are ahead of the game and your body thanks you for it.
In fact, nutritional supplementationis no longer a choice, it’s a necessity.
Let’s face it: Your Health is your responsibility! Look at these considerations:
• It’s a well-known fact that fruits and vegetables we purchase in bulk today, no longer have the nutrient content they once had. Already in 1937 a congressional paper (Document No. 264) warns about the alarming fact that fruits, vegetables and grains no longer contain enough of certain needed minerals and are therefore starving us, no matter how much of them we eat.
• Medical practitioners and nutritionists know that various ages need different nutrients and different quantities because many substances made by the body diminish with age. • Many foods in our American diet, especially processed foods and fast foods, create free radicals in the body that help deteriorate your cells.
• Many illnesses occur because of a nutritional deficiency, which often can be cured by supplying that nutrient.
Thoughtful nutritional supplementation, in addition to appropriate lifestyle changes (cooking and eating very close to the natural state of foods), can help balance your metabolism and neutralize free radicals in your body.
Doesn’t it make sense to inform yourself and listen to your body and do what’s necessary to help you live a healthy life?
Do it now, don’t wait until disease has you in its grip!
Your Health is Your Wealth!
Enjoy it!
